Automechanika – when I hear this name my frontal lobe (Area of the brain that is responsible for emotions) immediately reacts with excitement. Have you ever had an Idée fixe? If yes, then you can relate to my feelings. I can hardly recall any moments over the last two months when Automechanika Frankfurt and the dates of the 11th-15th of September have left my mind. Europe’s most influential automotive parts show is right around the corner and I feel 99% ready and 100% excited! Why 99%? Because for every event you should PLAN for unexpected circumstances.
This exhibition is special to me for many reasons: starting from this year being the 25th anniversary of the show, finishing with all the exciting product launches our marketing team has prepared for the show such as the NEW heavy-duty sensors, solar-powered TPMS retrofit kit and the new training platform for Schrader Academy. Now, I am sitting in the train on my way to Frankfurt looking at my to-do list and with this exact ratio of readiness/excitement silently crossing out topics in my head:
The booth – was finished a while ago, sizes adjusted, graphics updated and the new Heavy-Duty TPMS sensor featured. This launch is so BIG for Schrader, we are expanding our portfolio from passenger vehicles to heavy-duty, can there be a better place than Automechanika Frankfurt to announce this news?
Product samples – still can’t believe that several people in 3 continents were working hard to have all the new products ready, packaged, and shipped to Frankfurt. While looking at the new retrofit kit packaging I have a single thought: mission achieved thanks to impressive teamwork!
Communications- all press releases are issued, by now our truck sensors and retrofit kit are already featured by several online magazines. We keep getting new placement notifications, which gives me an amazing filling of fulfillment and pride. Real proof that our growth decisions are based on customer needs, the market is accepting the news with the speed of light! Special thanks to our media partners for great cooperation.
Sales support tools – so many great print and digital materials were developed for the show, like mounting and dismounting wallcharts and an updated bilingual product brochure. We are confident that our customers will find these tools extremely useful for their workshops.
Team event – we plan to explore local cuisine and try some apfel wein (cider)! It is always pleasant to take some quality time to celebrate the start of the show and the results we have achieved as a team! Schrader team gatherings are always special for me, you get this great team vibe and the feeling of being part of a big FAMILY.
The whole Schrader team including myself are excited to meet our customers and partners at the show, take a moment to appreciate each other’s company and plan for further exciting projects! Each of these exhibitions are a great learning experience for me and the team. It’s great momentum to see industry developments, track the automotive aftermarket trends and get inspired for future projects!
See you at hall 3.1 stand E20!
